I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. What should have been an enjoyable family dinner turned into one of the most unprofessional restaurant experiences I have ever had. I was charged for food that I maintain, I DID NOT ORDER. When I questioned the charges and tried to resolve what I believed was a miscommunication, the owner refused to make an adjustment because members of my family had already taken some of the food outside. I even brought five boxes of food back into the restaurant to show that I was not trying to get anything for free. The owner still refused to reconsider the charges. What should have been a simple customer-service resolution unnecessarily escalated to police involvement. My husband ultimately paid the bill. What made the experience worse was observing the owner laughing during the ordeal. I found that extremely unprofessional and inappropriate considering the seriousness of the situation. A warning to other customers: If there is ANY problem with your food—an incorrect order, food you didn't order, an allergy concern, improperly prepared food, or anything you intend to dispute—DO NOT allow anyone in your party to take that food outside. Buyers beware: if you order online for in person pickup, the prices are approximately $7 more for a combination plate vs the listed menu price. I requested to speak to the manager about this discrepancy listed on the website as compared to the menu. The manager never came to the front to speak to me. Staff informed me it was an old menu. After back and forth dialogue the staff said sorry we can’t cover the difference and walked away.

This was our 1st time eating here & we were excited, but that was short-lived thanks to the chef snapping at my niece & I when she asked if he would be sure to cook the chicken & steak prior to cooking seafood (shellfish specifically) due to my being allergic *to which he replied that it was too late & we should have told the server, although he had only started prepping the grill,he did end up complying) & the unwillingness of other kitchen staff to accommodate or give a logical reason for not being able to accommodate a request of another person in our group of 5 (he wanted 2 hard-boiled eggs & was willing to pay extra & tip whoever would fix them, he was told they didn't have shelled eggs or the ability to make them, then SHELLED EGGS were cracked on the grill for the rice right in front of us!). The food was good (a little salty for my taste, but good) & a lot of it, the sweet tea was phenomenal, & a good selection at the bar. The women's bathroom was not up to par, 1 toilet was clogged, 1 had a broken flush handle, & the 3rd had no toilet tissue. There was a 45minute wait when we arrived, we left a name & number because we needed to go elsewhere and they called when our table

SOGO Japanese Seafood Steakhouse is amazing, and I’ve been there multiple times with my wife and always enjoy it. The food is consistently great, and the portion sizes are huge—easily enough for two to three meals. I almost always leave with a full box of leftovers, which is a nice bonus. The soup and salad you get at the beginning of the meal are also very good and set the tone for the experience. For the price, it’s an excellent value, typically ranging from about $18 to $25 for a full meal, especially considering how much food you get. It’s definitely more of an experience than a quick dinner. They seat you hibachi-style, which often means you’ll be placed with other guests unless you come with a large enough group. In my experience, it’s more enjoyable when you come with a bigger party of your own, since you can fill out the table with friends and family and make it more of a shared experience. Each table seats around eight people, so larger groups work perfectly. Overall, it’s a fun, interactive, and very filling dining experience that I’d highly recommend. We met friends for dinner last night and we enjoyed it. I had the veggie hibachi and it was good. The portions are large. The table chef was nice and did a great job with serving/performing. We didnt have to wait to be seated, which I was glad for. I would visit again.
